Winter Break Updates: The weather in the plains has once again changed due to snowfall in the hilly areas. Cold winds have brought chill to the plains. School holidays have been extended once again due to severe cold weather. In view of the cold weather, the Haryana and Punjab governments have decided to extend the winter vacation. Schools in Bihar are scheduled to start from tomorrow i.e. January 16, but the timings have been changed. Let’s know what are the updates regarding the state wise opening of schools.

All schools in Delhi have been ordered to remain closed till January 15 due to cold weather. Now the schools are going to start tomorrow from January 16. There is no update regarding extension of holiday.

Uttar Pradesh

The DM of Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur district has issued a fresh order to keep schools closed till January 17. Apart from this, schools will start on January 16 only in other districts of the state. There is no update yet regarding extension of leave.

A state in eastern India

Schools in Patna district of Bihar will start on January 16 only. But times have changed. Studies will be held in the schools of Patna district from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm.

Jharkhand

Schools will start on January 16 in Jharkhand. Due to the cold wave in the state, the winter vacation in schools from KG to V has been extended till January 14. Classes VI to IX started on January 9.

Uttarakhand

Schools will start on January 16 in Uttarakhand. Here too the date of winter vacation was extended till January 15 due to cold and fog.

Haryana

The Haryana government has extended the winter vacation till January 21. In this way, schools in the state are going to start on January 23. This order has been issued by Directorate of School Education, Haryana. However, additional classes of 10th and 12th will continue.

Rajasthan

Schools in Rajasthan will also start tomorrow, Monday 16th January. There is still no information about extension of holidays in schools in Rajasthan.

Punjab

Due to the cold wave, Chandigarh administration has decided to close the schools till 8th till January 21. Schools from ninth to twelfth will continue.
