Twitter has now laid off 4,400 contract employees

News Desk: Elon Musk fired about 3,800 employees in one stroke as soon as he took command of the social media platform Twitter. Now they have started firing 4400 contract employees of the company. The company has a total of 5,500 such employees.

According to reports, Twitter has not given any notice to these employees. They are not being given access to online services and email. Managers are also getting to know when their employees are not logging into the system. Many workers claim that their access has been blocked without notice.

In India too, many such employees have been fired without notice. In an internal mail sent to contract employees, Twitter said the job cuts were part of a “re-prioritizing and savings exercise”. Sources said that Twitter’s internal communication team has reportedly stopped working.
