Republic Day 2023: Pens and coins to be banned from Republic Day parade

New Delhi (Republic Day 2023, General Knowledge), 26 January is celebrated as the Republic Day of India. This year, the 74th Republic Day will be celebrated on Thursday, January 26. On this special occasion, a parade is organized on Delhi’s Duty Road (earlier known as Rajpath) (26th January Parade).

Delhi Police has issued some guidelines for the Republic Day Parade (Delhi Police Guidelines). All visitors to the parade must follow them. The Delhi Police guidelines detail the things that are prohibited from being carried in the Republic Day Parade (Duty Path Parade).

What not to wear in Republic Day Parade?
Delhi’s Republic Day Parade is very famous. Devotees come in large numbers to participate in it. In such a situation, it is necessary to follow the guidelines of Delhi Police to keep the security system in place.

1- To eat or drink anything
2- Bag, briefcase, pen
3- Radio, transistor, tape recorder
4- Any flammable material (in which there is a risk of fire)
5- Digital Diary, Palm Top Computer, iPad
6- Remote control car key
7- Thermos, water bottle, can/pouch
8- Umbrella, toy gun
9- Alcohol, perfume, spray
10- Knife, scissors, blade, razor, wire
11- Camera, Binoculars, Handycam
12- Coins
13- Arms, ammunition, fireworks
14- Cigarette, bidi, lighter, match box, laser light
15- Scissors, sword, screwdriver etc.

Parking facility will be available here
People who are coming by their own vehicle or by other means to witness the Republic Day Parade, will be able to park their vehicles in the municipal parking lot at Connaught Place and JLN Stadium (26 January Parking). Entry will be granted only to visitors with a valid ticket or pass. Tickets/passes will be verified via QR code (January 26 Parade Ticket).
