Uproar in many medical collegesragging) incidents happen, they are quite disturbing. Now the National Medical Commission (NMC) is ready to face. NEET-UG result is out. Now the students are waiting for the next process. NEET counseling is an important stage that students are also eagerly waiting for. Medical Advisory Committee (MCC) will counsel the candidates who have qualified the NEET-UG 2022 exam for admission to government medical and dental colleges. In the midst of all this, a news has come which is going to give relief to the students. The problem of ragging will be less now. An important step has been taken in this regard.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has constituted an Anti-Ragging Cell to investigate and redress complaints sent by the Anti-Ragging Committees of various Medical Colleges.

The members of the cell will meet once in a month and conduct separate inquiry to hear the complaints of ragging. For redressal of problems related to ragging, NMC will provide an email id on which students can lodge complaints of ragging.

The commission will listen to the complaints of ragging and then try to resolve them at the earliest.

The order said that the UGMEB or PGMEB, with which the matter pertains, would take necessary action on the recommendations of the cell.

There are many incidents of ragging with the students after admission in the medical college. Often students get so upset with ragging that they even commit suicide. In such a situation, NMC will create an anti-ragging cell and will work to reduce such incidents.
