Bhopal. The issue of non-filing of board examination forms by children from more than 11 private and government schools in Madhya Pradesh has come under fire. There is some comforting news for these children though. Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MP Board) Secretary Shrikant Banoth has assured that these children will not be prevented from appearing for the examination. After the meeting, a middle ground will emerge. Along with this, he has also talked about strict action against negligent school drivers and principals.

After the final ultimatum, currently some of the 11 schools have submitted their children’s application forms and fees. However, there are still more than 582 children whose examination fees are yet to be collected.

Now 5925 rupees fine after depositing fee

MP Board had fixed the fee of 900 rupees for 10th and 12th board exam. September 30 was the last date for that. After this, a few more days were given with a fine of Rs 100 to deposit the fee. There was a provision to levy a fine of Rs. However, till November 20, many government and private schools could not collect the children’s fees. 11 of these schools were in Bhopal only. After this the Board ordered to charge Rs.5729 per student. Accordingly, the schools had to pay more than 11 crores. Some schools raised their share of funds by collecting donations. But there are still 582 children whose board exam fees have not been collected. Now the schools are going to deposit Rs 35 lakh to the Board of Secondary Education.
