MBBS NEET New Rules: If you are studying in MBBS or preparing for NEET exam, here is an important information for you. According to this information, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has made new rules, which will be applicable to all. As per this rule, multiple chances will not be given to clear the MBBS exam.
The Delhi High Court has given its stamp on the new guidelines of the Municipal Corporation by dismissing a petition filed by a medical student. Dismissing the petition, the Delhi High Court said that medicine is a noble profession and doctors serve the common man at large. Therefore, the rules should be such that only those people who are qualified and have the inclination will become medical professionals.
Let us tell you that some MBBS students had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court to get more chances to appear in the examination. Students had filed a petition not to limit the number of attempts in the MBBS exam. The students argued that the municipal rule came after they got admission in the medical college, so it should not apply to them.
Actually these students could not clear the MBBS 1st year exam despite four attempts. After that, he was banned from taking the exam as per the new rules of the National Medical Commission. But the court rejected his petition. The case was being heard before a bench headed by Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma. The bench said that the commission’s rule is not arbitrary. A candidate is not entitled to take the examination as many times as he wants.
This is a municipal rule
As per National Medical Commission (NMC) Graduate Medical Education Regulations (Amendment) Rules 2019, after clearing NEET, admission to MBBS is given a maximum of 4 chances to clear the annual examination conducted during the course. . If you fail to clear the MBBS exam in 4 attempts, they are not given a fifth chance.
