JPSC Result: Exam in 2005, Result in 2023, Govt Job after 18 Years!

50 people got government jobs
Jharkhand Public Service Commission announced these vacancies of Deputy District Collector in 2005. Now the result is in the headlines. In this, 24 candidates from general category, 7 from OBC category, 5 from SC category and 13 from ST category have been selected. At the same time, one candidate belongs to the disabled category. An error occurred while conducting the exam.
JPSC Deputy Collector Recruitment Exam was held on 13th April 2006. For this, 16 examination centers were established in Ranchi. According to media reports, a total of 8254 candidates appeared in this recruitment exam. There was some controversy regarding irregularities in the functioning of the examination. After the matter reached the High Court, the then Governor of Jharkhand, Syed Sibte Razi, ordered an inquiry into the examination. The case was pending in the Jharkhand High Court for a long time.

Age of candidates remained pending
50 percent candidates passed the exam after waiting for the result. The maximum age limit for applying for the post of Deputy Collector in Jharkhand is 35 years. The inspection report was submitted in 2013 after a long wait of 7 years for the vacancy. Then on 12th June 2013 the examination was canceled based on the inspection report. After this a re-examination notice was issued on 19 October 2015. Till then 4000 candidates were disqualified after crossing their age.

Re-examination after 15 years
Jharkhand PSC has decided to re-conduct the exam for this vacancy from 23rd December 2019 to 29th December 2019. But on the request of the candidates, the exam was conducted on 3rd January 2020. About four thousand candidates appeared in it. After 3 years i.e. in 2023, the final result of 2005 vacancies was announced. Such a long wait for results has rarely been seen before in the history of examinations.
