The first paper of JEE Main 1st session was a computer based test. Students in their feedback have said that the paper is normal. There is no change in JEE exam pattern. How was the physics paper?
Physics paper was normal in morning shift (JEE Main Physics Paper) on 24 January 2023. Questions were asked from Mechanics, Kinematics, NLM Rotation. Elasticity was a question of thermodynamics as well as elasticity and thermal expansion. There was no question related to errors, fluids and sound waves. JEE Main special topics had questions on Semiconductor and Communication Systems.
How was the chemistry paper?
Chemistry paper was a bit difficult. The first part consisted of matching list and assertion-reasoning type questions (JEE Main Chemistry Paper). Physical Chemistry consisted of mixed questions on gas phase, atomic structure, chemical kinetics, ionic equilibrium, electrochemistry, thermodynamics and liquid solution and surface chemistry. In organic chemistry, there were questions related to GOC, purification techniques, halogen derivatives, Grignard reagents, aldol condensation, biomolecules and everyday life chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry had questions on Hydrogen Bonding, Magnetic Moment, Metallurgy, Salt Analysis and S&D Block and Environmental Chemistry.
How was the maths paper?
The overall Maths paper in JEE Main was normal (JEE Main Maths Paper). It was easier than last year. 6 to 7 questions in Calculus were of medium format. Four questions were asked from Coordinate Geometry. Also there were four questions on Vector-3D and one on Matrix. There was also a question from Determinant and a mixed question from Quadratic-Determinant. 35 to 40 percent questions were asked from Algebra, while 1-1 questions were asked from Reasoning and Relation in JEE Mains.
