Govt Jobs Exam: Can UPSC and PSC Prepare Together? Useful information

New Delhi (Government Job Examination), every year lakhs of candidates give competitive exams for government jobs. Most of the candidates fill multiple exam forms at the same time. In this UPSC (UPSC Exam), PSC (PSC Exam), SSC (SSC Exam), Railway Jobs are given more importance. Their preparation is done through self-study and training.

Youngsters aspiring for government jobs (government jobs) often prepare for the UPSC exam as well as the PSC i.e. State Public Service Commission exams at the same time. What is the difference between UPSC and PSC?
UPSC i.e. Union Public Service Commission is called Union Public Service Commission in Hindi. So, State PSC stands for Public Service Commission i.e. State Public Service Commission. UPSC is a constitutional body, as defined in Articles 315-323. Through this, recruitment is done to the posts drawn by the central government. The State Public Service Commission (PSC) is a constitutional body (Articles 315 – 323). It assists the concerned State Governments in matters of recruitment, transfers and disciplinary action.

Where are government jobs available?
Appointments are made through UPSC Civil Services (UPSC Jobs) in departments like IAS, IPS, Foreign Services, Forest Services etc. So, State PSC provides jobs for the posts of State Medical Officer, State Assistant Professor, Assistant Agricultural Research Officer, Assistant Statistical Officer etc. (PSC Jobs).

Can both competitions be used for exam preparation?
If you want to prepare for UPSC and PSC exam together, you should know about some important things.

1- Both exams are similar in many ways and different in many ways.
2- Study of History, Geography, Constitution, Environmental Disasters is useful in both the exams. However, keep in mind that in state PSC, state specific general knowledge related questions are asked.
3- Objective questions are asked in preliminary exam (prelims) in both exams.
4- UPSC evaluates candidate’s analytical skills rather than memory.
5- Both the exams are very competitive. So it totally depends on the candidate’s knowledge, strength, ability and preference whether he/she should prepare for both the exams together or not.
6- According to experts, there should be a gap of at least 8 months to appear for both the exams.
