The Central Government has proposed the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill on Friday. Accordingly, the Government data protection board Will prepare the punishment in this draft bill (a punishment) The amount will be increased by crores. According to information, there is a possibility of increasing the amount of fine to Rs 500 crore.

In this new bill, heavy fines will be imposed on companies misusing personal information of people. In the new draft, the amount of fine has been increased manifold. The amount of the fine will be determined based on how much of the user’s information has been used.

Under the draft rules, companies will be able to appeal against the penalty in the court. An important point has been made in this new draft. Accordingly, companies will only be able to store data in countries specified by the government. These companies will no longer be able to store data in China.

No personal information of any person can be given in this draft. If so, it would be considered unauthorized data processing. If companies tamper with the personal information of a person, then action will be taken against the companies.

The Central Government has issued the draft and sought suggestions and objections from all the parties. Instructions have to be given on this by December 17. You can see this bill on the website of the Ministry of Information and Technology.

Earlier, the Central Government had introduced the Data Protection Bill and had withdrawn it. The Union IT Minister had informed about this in the month of September. Also, the Central Government had announced that a new draft of the Data Protection Bill would be presented in the next few days.
