CAT 2022: Who will get extra time in CAT exam? Understand the complete marking scheme here

New Delhi (CAT 2022), this year CAT ie Common Entrance Test is on 27th November, Sunday (CAT Exam Date). IIM Bangalore has shared important information regarding CAT Exam Pattern. All the candidates appearing for the CAT Exam 2022 must know the CAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus (CAT Syllabus).

According to IIM Bangalore, the CAT exam this year too will be held on the lines of last year. It will ask 66 questions, which will be divided into 3 sections. There is not much time left for CAT exam. In such a case, it would be better to assess your preparation through CAT Mock Test in the remaining days.

There are 3 sections of CAT exam
40 minutes will be given to solve each section of CAT exam. The CAT exam paper is divided into 3 sections-
1- Verbal Competency and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
2- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
3- Quantitative Ability (QA)

They will get extra time
All candidates will be allotted 120 minutes time in CAT Exam (CAT Exam 2022). After completion of 40 minutes of each section, it will be locked and submitted automatically. But PWD category candidates will be given additional 13 minutes and 20 seconds for each section. Additional time will appear on the screen of these candidates.

CAT MARKING SCHEME
1- Candidates will be awarded three marks for each correct answer.
2- 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in all MCQ type questions (CAT negative marking).
3- Non-MCQ questions will not have negative marking.
