New Delhi (Career Tips, Polytechnic College), along with the 10th board exam most of the students become serious about their career. Before choosing a stream in 11th they know that they want to go ahead and become a doctor, engineer or accountant. If you want to become an engineer then you can do diploma course (engineering after 10th) even after passing 10th board exam.

You all must have heard about Polytechnic College. It is a government college, where you can pursue the course of your choice with less fees and less time (Government Engineering College). An entrance exam is conducted in every state to get admission in polytechnic colleges. Engineering related courses can also be done after 10th from polytechnic college.

I studied here and became a junior engineer
There is a huge craze for government jobs among the youth. There are many government and private polytechnic institutes in every state of the country. A 3 year polytechnic course can directly get a junior engineer job in a government office (Junior Engineer Recruitment). Reputed companies of the country also employ polytechnic pass youths. Many a times people from BTech and Polytechnic are also seen doing jobs on the same salary.

Skill Based Education in Polytechnics
Polytechnic course is vocational. Almost all courses are offered in polytechnics, which are BTech, but some states may have more number of polytechnic courses (polytechnic courses). Youths take more entry into trades like civil, electrical, mechanical etc. as there is an opportunity to directly become a junior engineer in government jobs. In many states, the qualification to become a Junior Engineer is only Polytechnic (Junior Engineer Recruitment).

How to get admission in Polytechnic?
State Polytechnic conducts entrance test for admission to any course (Polytechnic Entrance Test). Forms are usually filled in January-February and exams are held in April-May. Students who are going to give 10th examination or have passed 10th can fill the form for admission. Courses and institutes are decided on the basis of merit after the entrance exam result (polytechnic result).
