Patna. Before taking admission in any college, students check the ranking of that college. For this, NAAC does the grading of different colleges (NAAC Grading) so that students can get proper information about the educational institutions. This ranking helps them to choose the best college for themselves. Colleges also get government aid based on NAAC ranking. The statistics are that out of 272 colleges in Bihar, only 38 colleges are accredited by NAAC. Talking about the capital Patna, there are only 10 out of 39 constituent colleges.
Patna district has 39 colleges under Patna University and Patliputra University, out of which only 10 colleges are accredited by NAAC. Out of 10 colleges of Patna University, only 6 colleges have got NAAC grading, out of which Patna Mahila College got only A grade, while BN College and Patna College could get C grade. The condition of colleges of Patliputra University is even worse. There are 29 colleges including three minority colleges and only four of them are NAAC accredited. Two colleges belong to Aryabhatta Knowledge University and one to Patliputra University.

Apart from this, the number of faculty, staff and students in the college are also grade standards.
